9/30 — “Against the Machine” | An Evening with Paul Kingsnorth
Tuesday, September 30 at 7pm at Irvington Theater | Get Directions →
Join us for an evening with celebrated novelist, poet, and essayist Paul Kingsnorth as he discusses his new book, “Against the Machine: On the Unmaking of Humanity,” with Irvington Presbyterian Church’s own Reverend Blaine Crawford.
In “Against the Machine,” Kingsnorth — dubbed “furiously gifted” by The Washington Post — turns his literary and philosophical talents to the crisis of modern times: resisting the encroaching force he calls the Machine. The result is a wholly original — and terrifying — account of what it will take to preserve our humanity.
