We are excited to screen Reverse the Curse, a film written, directed and starring David Duchovny, based on his novel Bucky F*ing Dent.
Reverse the Curse tells the story of a son’s efforts to reconcile with his sick father by orchestrating a winning streak for his beloved Boston Red Sox. It’s a film about the complexities of life, loss, hope and baseball through the lens of a father-son relationship.
Following the screening, there will be a moderated Q&A, as well as a book signing with David Duchovny. Books will be available to purchase in advance or at the event, provided by Transom Bookshop.

David Duchovny is an award-winning actor, director, writer, and singer-songwriter whose career spans television, film, literature, and music. He is best known for his iconic performances as FBI Agent Fox Mulder in The X-Files and writer Hank Moody in Californication, both of which earned him Golden Globe Awards. His film work includes Kalifornia, Return to Me, Evolution, The Joneses, What Happens Later, and The X-Files films, among others. He has also directed the films House of D and Reverse the Curse, the latter adapted from his novel Bucky F*cking Dent, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
A graduate of Princeton University and Yale University, Duchovny is also a New York Times bestselling author. His books include the novels Holy Cow, Bucky F*cking Dent, Miss Subways, and Truly Like Lightning, the novella The Reservoir, and the poetry collection About Time. As a musician, he has released four studio albums and tours as a singer-songwriter. He is also the host of the podcast Fail Better.
