A charming French animated film about a girl and a cat who break up a crime ring.
A Cat in Paris is a gem, a treat not to be missed by children or their parents (or animation-loving adults without kids). Rated PG, English, 65 minutes.
After the movie, we have a guest speaker, Dan Shefelman, Irvington resident and animator whose credits include the film Ice Age, and TV shows, Doug and The King of the Hill.

Summary:  Lonely little Zoe has an affectionate pet cat named Dino. When she goes to bed at night, Dino bounds across the moonlit rooftops, leading the honorable, rubbery-armed burglar Nico to the loot. One such outing leads to a nest of gangsters - more comic than truly scary - connected with the death of Zoe's father."The almond eyes, the sailor pants and tiny feet, the sun-washed checkerboard kitchen floors, the soundtrack strains of Billie and Django - all create a storybook Paris of the imagination, of the artist's easel.
The Academy Award® nominated A CAT IN PARIS from directors Jean-Loup Felicioli and Alain Gagnol is a beautifully hand-drawn caper set in the shadow-drenched alleyways of Paris.
